Once upon a time in the enchanted forest of books in the Harold B. Library at BYU, a handsome young man working at the resource desk spotted a beautiful young woman. Desiring the opportunity to spend a magical evening in her company, he asked for her phone number just in case someone else needed the book she was checking out. Thus began the whirl wind courtship of Wes and Joan. They dated for 6 weeks when he asked her to become his eternal companion.
On June 3, 1963, Wes and Joan were married and sealed together for time and eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. Could they imagine at that time the family that would come from that union?
We want you to join with us in celebrating their 50th Anniversary. (Yes, we know it is really the 51st, but they were serving as missionaries in Nauvoo last summer.) There has been much laughter and tears, adventures and stories. We would like for you to share with us a memory or a story of your experiences in the life of Wes & Joan.
